Welcome to Ella May Studio.

We are an independent Australian art and design studio based in Melbourne, creating original artworks, handmade objects and thoughtfully designed products intended to comfort, inspire, encourage and sometimes even draw a smile.

By accessing our website, browsing our collections or purchasing our products and services, you agree to these Terms & Conditions.

Please read them carefully before placing an order.

1. About Us

Ella May Studio is an independent Australian creative business specialising in original art, handmade and hand-finished products, accessories, creative experiences and workshops.

Our products are created in small batches, with an emphasis on thoughtful design, craftsmanship, sustainability and individual expression.

2. Products & Handmade Nature

All of our products are handmade, hand-finished and individually created.

As a result, slight variations in colour, texture, shape, size, finish and detailing may occur.

These natural differences are not faults, but are part of the character of handmade work and make each piece unique.

We make every effort to accurately represent our products through photographs, descriptions and measurements.

However, colours may appear slightly different depending on your screen settings and lighting conditions.

Product availability may vary, particularly for original artworks, limited-edition collections and one-of-a-kind pieces.

3. Product Information & Intended Use

Our products include original artwork, sculptures, framed inspirational tiles, tactile soothing stones, fashion accessories, stationery and handmade objects.

Some products are designed to encourage reflection, mindfulness, creativity and everyday wellbeing.

These products are intended for personal enjoyment, creative expression and general wellbeing support. They are not medical devices and are not intended to diagnose, treat, cure or prevent any medical or psychological condition.

Our products are not substitutes for professional medical or mental health care.

Please follow any safety, handling or care instructions provided with your purchase.

Products containing small components, magnets or other potentially hazardous materials should be kept away from young children at all times.

Products are not to be put into the mouths, swallowed/ingested or placed in bodily orifices including ears and nose.

4. Pricing & Payment

All prices displayed on our website are in Australian dollars (AUD).

Prices are subject to change without notice. However, changes will not affect orders already accepted and paid for.

Ella May Studio is currently not registered for Goods and Services Tax (GST), and GST is not separately charged on purchases.

Shipping charges are additional unless expressly stated otherwise and will be displayed before you complete your purchase.

Payment must be received in full before an order is processed.

We accept the payment methods displayed at checkout.

Transactions are processed through secure third-party payment providers.

5. Orders & Availability

When you place an order, you will receive an order confirmation at the email address provided.

We reserve the right to contact you if an item is unavailable, an error has occurred in its listing or there is an issue processing your order.

If we are unable to fulfil an accepted order, we will offer an appropriate alternative or refund the amount paid for the unavailable item.

We may decline or cancel orders where reasonably necessary, including suspected fraudulent transactions or genuine stock or pricing errors, subject to applicable consumer laws.

6. Shipping & Delivery

We ship orders within Australia using Australia Post.

7. Returns, Refunds & Exchanges

We want you to be happy with your purchase. Because all of our products are handmade, individually finished or produced in limited quantities, we do not offer returns or exchanges for change of mind.

However, nothing in these Terms & Conditions excludes, restricts or modifies your rights under Australian Consumer Law.

Under Australian Consumer Law, customers are entitled to certain remedies where goods are faulty, damaged, not as described or otherwise fail to meet applicable consumer guarantees.

Depending on the circumstances, these remedies may include repair, replacement or refund.

If you experience an issue with your purchase, please contact us with your order number and a description of the concern. Photographs may help us assess the issue.

We will work with you to find an appropriate resolution in accordance with your legal rights.

Any return postage costs required to provide a remedy under Australian Consumer Law will be handled in accordance with those obligations.

8. Custom & Personalised Orders

Customised or personalised items are created specifically for the customer.

Once production has commenced, changes or cancellations may not be possible.

We do not accept change-of-mind returns for personalised or custom-made products.

However, all applicable Australian Consumer Law guarantees continue to apply.

Please check personalised wording, spelling, colours and other specifications carefully before confirming your order.

9. Workshops & Creative Experiences

Ella May Studio may offer creative workshops, art sessions and other studio experiences.

Workshop places are subject to availability and must be booked in advance unless otherwise stated.

Full payment may be required to secure a booking.

Workshop descriptions will outline relevant information, including duration, materials, age suitability and any specific requirements.

Participants are expected to follow reasonable safety instructions and treat other attendees, studio equipment and materials with care and respect.

Any workshop-specific cancellation, transfer or refund conditions will be communicated at the time of booking.

If Ella May Studio cancels a workshop, participants will be offered an appropriate alternative date or refund.

Nothing in our workshop terms limits your rights under Australian Consumer Law.

10. Intellectual Property & Copyright

All original artwork, illustrations, designs, photographs, written expressions, product concepts, branding and other creative content displayed on this website are owned by Ella May Studio or used with permission, unless otherwise indicated.

These materials are protected by applicable copyright and intellectual property laws.

Purchasing an artwork or product does not transfer copyright or intellectual property rights to the purchaser.

You may not reproduce, copy, distribute, commercially exploit or use our original creative content without prior written permission, except where permitted by law.

11. Website Content & Accuracy

We make reasonable efforts to ensure that the information on our website is accurate and up to date.

Occasionally, product descriptions, prices, availability or other details may contain errors.

Nothing in this section affects your statutory consumer rights.
